I’m Coral, a twenty-four year old second-year (soon to be third-year) English and History student at Winchester University.

Reading my life away sounds like a bad thing, it’s not.

Reading My Life Away means that I take all of the negative things in life, pick up a book and read them all away.

So this blog will be my outlet. It will allow me to share the books that have, in one way or another, helped me forget about everything else, just for a little while.

I love reading (obviously), sewing, tea, and cats.

My favourite genres include:

  • Science fiction
  • Fantasy
  • Historical Fiction
  • Gothic
  • Realist novels
  • Mystery/thriller
  • Anything from the Victorian Era
  • Some graphic novels
  • and, of course, the classics.

This list is by no means final. My aim is to read and review as many books as I can. I am always on the look out for my next favourite book.Β Suggestions welcome!

All the books I review will be books that I have enjoyed. If I really really didn’t enjoy a book I wont review it. I don’t see the point in writing a bad review, my idea of good/bad could be completely different to someone else’s. And, as my mum always said,Β ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything’.
